This wall-hanging shrunken head is handmade from polymer clay. The head itself is about the size of a tennis ball (that has been cut to lay flat.) The head has long, black (acrylic) dreads. I've used jute for Xs over its eyes and to sew its mouth shut and added a small wooden bead for decoration.
The head lays flatly mounted on a three (3) inch wooden plaque with a key-hole ready to hang on any nail.
If you're looking for something bizarre and eye-catching, then you found it!
Fantastic detail and realism-- your guests will definitely ask “is this real?!” (This happens to me every time.)
Guaranteed high quality and will display for years!

Background:
Historically, shrunken heads were obtained through a ritual sacrifice and processed to prevent the soul from leaving the body. It was believed that shrinking the head of an enemy would harness their spirit and compel them to serve the shrinker.
The sale of real shrunken heads (from any creature) was outlawed in the 1930s.
